Matters arising
Lawn mower – the Parish Council has applied for a grant on our behalf. If successful the grant will cover 70%, the Parish Council 10%, and we will contribute 15%. The Parish council can recover VAT.
Defibrillator – it was decided not to locate it in the porch due to the cost. It has been fixed on the outside wall. Trevor McDonald was thanked for this work
Afternoon tea May 25 – made a profit of £95. Thanks were made to Cathy and Dawn, and the extra helpers Ann Bodman and Margaret Topliss, and to everyone who contributed cakes. A new laminated price list will be produced, and menu cards for the tables
Treasurer’s report
The Coffee morning and book sale 10th May raised £43.35 profit including book and jam sales and the Afternoon Tea on 25th May raised £95 (after expenses). There was a payment received for £12 for room hire for the Circle Dance Workshops for March 2014.
There were expenses paid from April to Julia for plants for the village green area and a payment to Npower for the electricity of £10; as well as expenses to Cathy for petrol for the lawnmower of £7.
For this first week of June, there has been a payment for the full days room hire from Election Day of £120 with extra jam and book sales of £6 and a donation from Rebekah Duff for £10. Yorkshire Water required a payment of £30.86 (paid in full 6th June 2014) and further payments for expenses from the afternoon tea and petrol for the lawnmower totalling £18.

Dave Jones from the Yorkshire Ambulance Service will demonstrate its use at the Coffee morning on July 12

Summer Fair – a notice will be put on the website asking for volunteers. Definite plans cannot be made until Hilda knows how much help is available. When we have the volunteers there will be a meeting towards the middle of July.

A letter of thanks has been sent to Keith Manning thanking for the work he has done for the village both as treasurer and chairman
Rebekah Duff was thanked for the £10 donation having borrowed crockery for a Cancer Research Tea
