Postponement Of The Extraordinary Meeting Of The Reading Room Committee Due To Take Place On The 25th January 2021

POSTPONEMENT OF THE EXTRAORDINARY MEETING OF THE READING ROOM COMMITTEE DUE TO TAKE PLACE ON THE 25TH JANUARY 2021

Due to the current Government lockdown caused by the covid-19 pandemic the meeting due to be held on Monday 25th January 2021 is postponed until further notice. In the meantime the planning permission request for the renovation of the Reading Room’s toilet block and for the installation of double glazing throughout the building remains with the RDC’s planning team. In addition a request for a grant in support of these projects is also with RDC. Both are progressing.

On behalf of the Reading Room Committee I would like to thank all of you who helped with and attended our limited Christmas celebrations. The lights, competitions and raffle, mulled wine and mince pies and presents from Santa went a long way in keeping spirits high and raised much needed funds for the Reading Room. If you have any ideas as to what we might do, and are allowed to do, next please let me know.

The meeting will be reconvened as soon as it is allowed. In the meantime please stay safe and if needs be, do not hesitate to contact anyone of the Constable Burton Volunteer Group if you need assistance.
