Re the minutes of the last meeting which I have just seen. Having spoken to the Church Warden at St. Andrew’s, Finghall the future of the church is not ‘uncertain’. There are no plans to close the Church, and the War Memorial Plaque dedicated to those men who served in the First World War from Constable Burton & Finghall is situated in the porch of the Church. Two people from the Parish who died in the Second World War are remembered on a wooden panel next to the altar.

Many apologies to anyone who feels that they have been misrepresented by the minutes of the 15th August concerning the proposed memorial tree. In trying to gain the opinion of the community about this project there has obviously been a misunderstanding. This will be amended at the next meeting.
