What an amazingly enjoyable evening held in support of the survivors of the devastating earthquakes in Syria and Turkey. The current net total of £280 was raised by the event, Come Dive With Me, in response to the DEC’s Earthquake Appeal.

The evening commenced with a presentation about a diving trip made by George Tomlin to an island in Indonesia. The audience was treated to a very colourful collection of under-water photographs and videos of marine life, including turtles and colourful fish and corals. It both enthralled and, in parts, amused the audience! This was followed by a wonderful buffet. A mixture of Middle Eastern and European cuisine. It was all quite delicious.

Thanks go to all of those who were involved in putting this event together, and to all of those who attended. It really was a very happy and convivial social event, in support of a very worthy cause. And our newly decorated hall, remarked on by many, was shown off in all its resplendent glory.
