SELF ISOLATION
- I want to reassure you all that the community is here to help us get through this pandemic. It is a ‘rotten’ period in our lives but we will get through it if we all obey the rules.
- Self-Isolation.
- There has been much criticism concerning rules and regulations but there is no confusion as to when you must by LAW self-isolate.
- If you test positive you must self-isolate for 10 days.
- If you are traced and told to self-isolate you must do so for 14 days.
- Failure to follow this regulation can result in a fine of £10,000. More importantly your irresponsibility can put so many others at mortal risk.
- There has been much criticism concerning rules and regulations but there is no confusion as to when you must by LAW self-isolate.
- Constable Burton Volunteer Support Group.
- In our community we have a wonderful group of volunteers who will look after you if you do need to self-isolate. They will do your shopping for you, pick up prescriptions and run necessary errands for you. All you have to do is pick up the phone.
- The group will also ensure that during your self-isolation you will not be left totally alone. Regular contact will be made with you either by phone or at a distance to make sure that you are alright and not in need of medical assistance.
- Contact Details. To ensure you all have the current contact details for the support group has been distributed. It is also on this web site.
- Take Care of Yourselves. Whatever anyone else does, do look after yourselves. The Government advice is:
- Wash hands regularly.
- Use face covering in enclosed spaces.
- Make space by staying at least 2 metres apart (1 metre with face covering).
- Conclusion. We are all in this together. Do not suffer alone. By following these simple rules we will get through this and ‘the sun will shine again’.
