At long last it was a busy weekend in the Reading Room. The Room was let on Saturday night, the 26th Feb, for a large private dinner party and on the following afternoon tea and cakes were enjoyed in front of a sizzling log fire. Both events were hugely successful and brought in much needed funds for the Reading Room. Many thanks go to all of you who donated some very delicious cakes.

The Children’s Activity Area is now complete and is available for the entertainment of the young and the not so young!

You may have seen that Jean Knights has very generously donated some of her water colours to the Reading Room. These are on view in the Reading Room and are available to be purchased. Funds raised will be divided between the Reading Room and the people of the Ukraine.

Please note that the next Afternoon Teas in the Reading Room will be on Sun 20th Mar 2 – 5pm.
